Snow Canyon State Park, Utah

The diverse landscape of Snow Canyon State Park

This was an amazing state park just north of St. George in southwestern Utah…not too far from Zion. It should not be overlooked! I found it to be similar to Sedona Arizona.

Pictured above, slot canyons.

Natural arches.

Sand dunes.

Petrified sand dunes
Some dog friendly trails

Plenty of hiking trails and also biking trails throughout this area.

So far, I think this was my favorite area to visit. We were there in February-March 2019 and Zion was a little cold with snow and ice cover while Snow Canyon was warmer. This would be a great place to winter. It looks remote, but St. George retail is nearby. We camped at Willow Wind for the month which was a great RV park, but there are plenty of state parks in this area. A 2 and 1/2 hour drive from Vegas. We will be back!
